Everything you need to know

Common questions clinics ask about the all-in-one platform for modern dental practices.

This page covers how specific parts of dmdent.com work, day to day. For a general overview of what's in the platform, see the product overview on the homepage; for who's behind it, see the Company Profile.

dmdent.com is an all-in-one patient records, dental charting, and online booking platform built specifically for dental practices — see the homepage for the full pitch. The questions below go into how specific parts of it actually work.

The 32-tooth interactive chart lets clinicians mark conditions surface by surface (mesial, distal, occlusal, buccal, and lingual). You can record cavities, fillings, crowns, and other treatments tooth by tooth.

A freehand annotation area is also available for anything a structured chart cannot fully capture, giving complete clinical flexibility.

  • Patients book appointments online any time — no more phone tag.
  • New patients complete a full digital intake form before their visit.
  • Built-in e-signature capture eliminates printers and scanners.
  • Every completed intake automatically becomes a signed, storable PDF record.

Yes. Every patient record has its own billing panel:

  • Itemized invoices, which can link directly to a logged visit so the description fills in automatically
  • Senior citizen and PWD discounts calculated automatically, plus custom discounts when needed
  • Payment recording across Cash, Card, GCash, and bank transfer, including partial payments
  • Printable PDF invoices, and a Void option for invoices created in error — voided invoices are kept as a record rather than deleted, with the option to permanently delete one afterward once it's void and no longer needs to stay on record

Yes, a built-in Analytics dashboard covers:

  • Revenue — invoiced vs. collected, with a day-by-day chart and discount usage breakdown
  • Visit patterns — new vs. returning patients, and a breakdown of visit types
  • Appointments — confirmed, pending, cancellation rate, and busiest day of the week
  • Patients & visits — new patients, top diagnoses, and visit types

A simple date range picker (last 30/90 days, this year, or all time) applies across the whole dashboard, and multi-location owners see figures combined across every clinic.

Yes. From your clinic's Settings page you can upload your own logo, which prints on your invoices and certificates (it doesn't change dmdent.com's own branding in the app or on your public booking page). You can also fill in your clinic's address, phone, email, website, and TIN to appear on printed documents, set a custom invoice number prefix, and save a default attending clinician and license number so certificates take less time to fill out.

Yes. Clinic admins can add and manage staff logins from Settings — each with a username, full name, role (Admin or Staff), and temporary password. Accounts are deactivated rather than deleted when someone leaves, so their historical records stay intact. Every clinic starts with a staff seat allowance; contact us if your team has outgrown it.

Yes. One platform can serve every location in your group while keeping data fully separated:

  • Independent Data — Each clinic's patients, charts, and appointments stay completely separate.
  • Its Own Booking Link — Every clinic receives a dedicated online booking page for its own patients.
  • One Owner View — A single login lets owners see and manage every clinic's records at a glance.
  1. Patient books online — No phone calls needed.
  2. Completes intake & signs — Required for new patients only; includes e-signature.
  3. Staff manages the visit — Chart, history, and notes are all in one place.
  4. Records stored securely — Ready for the next visit, fully searchable.

No. dmdent.com runs in the browser on desktop or mobile — nothing to install for staff or patients. Patients booking or completing intake don't need an account either.

Yes — most clinics on dmdent.com started this way. New patient records can be entered directly, and existing patients can be added as they come in for their next visit rather than requiring a big-bang migration. If you're moving a large existing patient list over at once, get in touch and we'll figure out the best way to bring it in.

Yes. New clinics get a walkthrough of the platform before go-live, and the team is reachable afterward through Support for anything that comes up.

Encrypted database storage, HTTPS everywhere, per-clinic data isolation, and account protections like password rules and lockouts are all in place today. See the Security section on the homepage for the itemized list of what's covered.

Your clinic's records remain yours. Contact us and we'll arrange an export of your patient records, charts, and history before your account is closed.

Pricing is sized to your practice — a single clinic and a multi-location group won't pay the same. Request a quote and we'll follow up with pricing that fits your setup.
